This customer requested an interpretation of Billy Joel’s “Vienna” painted in a similar style to that of my prior Woodstock commission. After several iterations, we agreed on this bold, pop art inspired design that represents the role discrepancy of the elderly and youth in Western versus non-Western cultures—a prominent theme throughout Joel’s song.
